Breakfact Buffet not up to standard and expectation.

Some real fruits display (not fake and real mixt together) Fruits Varieties limited consider Taiwan is well known with all kinds of popular fruits Pineapple, Melons, Sugar Cane and Berries , ( I couldn't believe there is no Strawberry or other berries on the Buffet? Absolutely disgrace!) not happy at all! More varieties for Hot and Cold Breakfast buffet. cockroaches visible on buffet counter (Bread section)

That was awwwwesome with free WiFi, gym and swimming pool!

That was the best place, We've ever visited together. My family is still grateful to me for taking them there (so thanks 85 sky tower for all). The food is quite good and diverse. Actually, this is a place to visit due to the staff, service, and location.

ah ah ah. I didn't stay long and too much to visit the 85 sky tower. Funny, nothing to dislike there.

Great harbor view

Spacious room, gym, and the view. Luggage could be stored at 1F and that was convenient.

Not the problems of the hotel itself but it seems not so safe at night around this area. No all the power sockets were functional. Gym closes at 22:30 and that is a little bit earlier for me.

Our view on the 67th floor was breathtaking.

Our view on the 67th floor was breathtaking. The room was clean with basic amenities included. Staffs were nice.

2 things: The location was about 15 minutes from the nearest subway station, which made travelling with luggages a hassle if you're using the MRT. To get to your room, you have to enter the building through a seperate entrace, take the elevator to the 35th floor, walk through the lobby area, take another elavator on the other side of the building.

Wonderful views and good breakfast in an old hotel with dated decor.

Good location. Wonderful views from 51st floor. Good choices at breakfast. Free basement parking. Got upgraded to family suite.

Need to take 3 sets of lifts from car park to room. Hotel decor and rooms quite dated. Service at hotel Japanese restaurant was very poor and couldn’t even charge the bill to the room!

Overall we were very happy with our stay

We found staff to be very friendly and the was very comfortable.

This did not make our stay less enjoyable. The payment method in the buffet restaurant needs attention we had to wait a very long time (over 30 minutes) for it to be processed. Perhaps if everyone paid as they arrived it would be better.

Value for money

Location was good. Short distance to airport and harbour. Nice view from the room. In Taiwanese standards the breakfast was good. There was also nice Teppanyaki restaurant in the hotel as well as nice lounge bar.

The view is the only reason to pay so much, and it's not really worth the price

People stay at this hotel mainly for the view. Unfortunately, I was in a south-facing room, which only overlooks the industrial side of the city. The staff is pleasant, but not friendly. The room was large, but dated. The room itself was clean, but the cups and glasses were dirty. There is a lounge on the 39th floor, but the windows fog up at night, obscuring the view.

This place has no right to call itself a 5-star hotel. It reminded me of several gaudy business hotels I stayed at in China, only with a better view. The room smelled of smoke every time I turned on the AC. I asked for a quiet room, but was placed next to a family of four with two little kids that were constantly screaming and running around. And the place is very dated. It was completed in 1997, but I felt like I was back in China in a "luxury" business hotel in 1991, except for the WiFi and flat-screen TV.

The view from the hotel was spectacular everything was great. I really wanted to try the breakfast as well, but my flight was too early so I couldnt have it. next time i will try!

What was the highlight of 85 Sky Tower Hotel

Older hotel in an iconic building

The room was very spacious and offered a great unobstructed view of the city. There's free underground parking and getting a taxi into the city was really convenient. The drinks in the mini bar fridge were also free. Room service was really quick, even when we called after midnight for extra blankets. Since we stayed during World Cup season, there were also discounts on drinks at the hotel bar, which also offers awesome views of the city.

Due to the layout of the building itself, getting from the underground car park to our actual room required 3 separate lift journeys (which was a bit frustrating when we first arrived and didn't understand the layout). The design of the shower door also meant that we were almost guaranteed to step out of the shower with a massive puddle. In terms of power outlets, there were just not enough of them. Some of the outlets didn't work, but even the ones that did work were often too loose to hold the charger.
